A current registration matters
California janitorial employers covered by the Property Service Workers Protection Act must register with the Labor Commissioner and renew annually. An employer that fails to register may face a civil fine of $100 for each calendar day it is unregistered, up to $10,000.
That is a potential agency-enforced fine, not a statement that a fine has been assessed against your business. DIR/DLSE determines your current status and any amount due.
DIR/DLSE registration and fee informationClear steps. Personal follow-through.
Start with the service payment
Your annual subscription covers one business: prepare renewal paperwork, organize documents, coordinate required training and handle routine administrative follow-up.
Give us the starter information
After payment is confirmed, we ask for your legal business name, registration number and certificate expiration date. We request additional documents through the appropriate private process.
Authorize us to help
We ask for your written permission and any supported administrator access needed to coordinate for you. You keep ownership of your account. Never email passwords or sensitive identity documents.
Confirm the separate state amount
We confirm state fees and any assessed amounts with DIR/DLSE. [1] You review and authorize the confirmed amount before a separate payment and filing.
[1] DIR: California Department of Industrial Relations. DLSE: Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
State fees are not included
State registration or renewal fees are separate from the CalHR Guard annual service subscription. Review the service price on the next step before deciding to proceed. Any state-assessed penalties or other amounts, and outside training charges, are additional. Your exact state total is confirmed with DIR/DLSE.
Paying CalHR Guard does not itself renew your registration or pay the state. Agency approval, penalty waivers and processing dates cannot be guaranteed. Complex, disputed or additional work requires an agreed scope before extra service charges.
